Maze Forge — Privacy Policy
Last updated: 2026-07-02
Maze Forge keeps your content on your device and runs no analytics or behavioural tracking of its own. The one exception is advertising: the free tier shows a banner ad served by Google AdMob (see Advertising below). Maze Forge Pro is ad-free.
What we do
- The app runs entirely on your device.
- Saved mazes, generated PDFs, statistics, and personal bests are stored locally in the app's private storage. They never leave your device.
- Outbound network calls are limited to (a) the platform billing system — Apple's StoreKit on iOS, Google Play Billing on Android — when you tap "Unlock Pro" or "Restore" on the paywall, and (b) Google AdMob, which serves the free tier's banner ad (never on Pro). Billing calls are handled by the platform vendor and return no information beyond an entitlement token confirming a successful purchase; ad calls are described under Advertising.
What we don't do
- No analytics or behavioural telemetry that we operate.
- No ads on Maze Forge Pro. On the free tier, ads are served by Google AdMob — see Advertising.
- No accounts, sign-in, or cloud sync.
- No background location, contacts, or photo-library access.
Advertising
The free tier shows a single banner ad served by Google AdMob. To request an ad, the AdMob SDK sends Google technical and device information — for example a device advertising identifier, coarse language/region, and ad-interaction events. That data is processed by Google under its own privacy policy; we do not receive it, and we build no advertising profile of our own. Maze Forge Pro shows no ads and starts no ad SDK at all.
On iOS, before any ad tracking the app asks your permission through Apple's App Tracking Transparency prompt; if you decline, ads are served in a limited, non-personalised mode. On Android, you can reset or delete your advertising identifier in your device's system settings to limit tracking.
Crash reporting
The current version of Maze Forge does not send crash reports or diagnostics off your device. If a future version adds crash reporting it will be strictly opt-in, off by default, limited to anonymised stack traces and device-model information, and disclosed here before it ships.
In-app purchases
Maze Forge sells a single one-time "Pro" unlock through the app store on your device. The purchase is processed by Apple (on iOS) or Google (on Android); we never see your payment details. A small flag indicating whether you own Pro is cached locally on your device so the app works offline.
Children
Maze Forge is suitable for all ages but is not specifically directed at children under 13. The free tier serves general-audience ads through Google AdMob (see Advertising); we do not knowingly collect personal data from children, and Maze Forge Pro is ad-free.
Changes to this policy
If a future version of Maze Forge adds anything that meaningfully changes this policy — for example, opt-in crash reporting — we will:
- Update this document with the new date at the top.
- Surface the change in-app on the next launch after the update.
